Sid will be visiting activities between Manchester and London during Children’s Activities Week and bringing his high energy and fun approach to the activity.. As well as delighting your customers, this is a fantastic opportunity to get valuable, local media coverage by engaging your local newspapers, magazines, radio and even TV along to cover Sid’s visit to your activity.
Some of our celebrity and sporting ambassadors may also be joining Sid too.
And priority to be included in the tour will be given to those participating in the World Record Attempt.
Sid’s World Record Attempt
sponsored by Morton Michel
If you have an activity running by 10.15am on Monday 30th April 2018 then you can be part of the World Record Attempt with CBeebies presenter Sid Sloane sponsored by Morton Michel for the greatest number of people (adults and children) engaged in a simple song/dance activity at the same time.
You will be sent a video and full instructions in advance.
You need to submit the number of people participating as soon as possible along with all the other groups participating.
Then we will collate all the numbers to see if we have broken the record!
National Media Showcases
We are holding a children’s activities showcase event in London on Friday 4th May 2018 where the media will be invited to experience some of the best children’s activities in the UK, meet the providers, speak with experts and hear from some of our Ambassadors too.
This is a very significant PR opportunity and spaces are very limited. You will need to attend from 7am to 1pm on the day at Under1Roof in Greenwich and you will be given a slot to demo your activity. Please bring all equipment and a display banner and you may be invited to be interviewed and filmed.
All providers selected to be part of the showcase will be contacted individually and full details of this event will be provided then.
Make your own PR
Nothing is stopping you doing something extra during the week and you will stand out for going that extra mile. How about flying themed activities, a sponsored screen free day, special prize draw just for parents/carers who come to your activities?
You could even organize a local activities showcase event by involving various other local providers in your area and do something on a larger scale which might attract more media as well as giving you the opportunity to get to know fellow class organisers better if you don’t already.
Or is there a local celebrity or sporting star that might show their support and come to your activity? You don’t know until you ask!
